Boneville was originally named Bell. It is no longer an incorporated city. It is located about 5 miles SE of Thomson. The historic district was established in the year 2000, but there's not much there but the Post Office, church and old Inn. The Boneville Methodist Church has existed for over 100 years. The church cemetery has been transcribed and is on the USGENWEB. Click here to go to that page. I have several photos of tombstones on the photos page. The old Boneville Inn has an interesting history and is said to be haunted. It has fallen into disrepair though at one time I'm sure was a beautiful house. Click here to see current photos of the Inn.
